Overview
The Central European University (CEU) Scholarship 2027 is a competitive funding opportunity for international students seeking to study in Hungary. Established in 1991, CEU is a private research university ranked 30th worldwide in politics and 37th in philosophy by QS World University Rankings. The scholarship supports Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degree programs for the 2027-2028 academic year.

Why This Matters for African Students
For Zimbabwean and SADC region applicants, the CEU Scholarship 2027 offers several distinct advantages:
- No IELTS requirement — English proficiency can be certified through alternative means, reducing costs and preparation time
- Fully funded postgraduate options — Unlike many scholarships that only cover tuition, CEU provides living stipends
- Strong reputation in governance and policy — Relevant for careers in public service, NGOs, and international development
- English-taught programs — No language barrier for most SADC graduates
The monthly stipends (500–1,350 EUR) are particularly valuable given exchange rate considerations for students from the region.
