Overview
The Resilience Fund invests in women- and non-binary-led organizations building climate resilience for women and communities across global value chains in South and Southeast Asia. This 2026 funding round provides flexible, unrestricted grants ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 USD over two years, plus access to the Resilience Fund’s Learning Hub for peer connection and knowledge sharing.
This opportunity is specifically designed for community-based organizations embedded in the regions they serve. While the Fund targets four Asian countries, African applicants with regional partnerships or expansion interests in these markets may find relevant learning opportunities through the Fund’s open resources and webinars.

What the Grant Covers
Selected partners receive:
- Financial support: $15,000–$50,000 USD in flexible, unrestricted funding distributed over two years
- Learning Hub access: Opportunities to connect, share, and learn with other grantee partners through 3-4 virtual meetings annually
- Translation support: Language assistance to ensure grantees can participate in their preferred languages
- Collaborative impact measurement: Fund-level metrics developed jointly with grantee partners rather than imposed top-down indicators
Grants are not restricted to specific projects. Organizations may use funds for programmatic or organizational needs, including strengthening existing work, deepening climate adaptation integration, or building organizational capacity.

Eligibility Requirements
Organizations must meet all of the following criteria:
- Leadership: Women- or non-binary-led, defined as having a woman or non-binary Executive Director/CEO and at least 50% of staff identifying as women or non-binary
- Organizational type: Community-based, registered non-governmental organization (NGO)
- Location: Based in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, or Vietnam
- Legal status: Formally registered and authorized to receive foreign funding
- Financial threshold: Annual income of at least $10,000 USD (based on 2024, 2025, or 2026 figures)
- Community embeddedness: Representative of and embedded in the communities served
The Fund explicitly welcomes organizations in early stages of climate adaptation work. You do not need to be a climate-focused organization or have extensive climate programming experience.
Funding Request Limits
Applicants may request up to 150% of their organization’s annual revenue, capped at $50,000 total. For example, an organization with a $20,000 annual budget may apply for up to $30,000.
Priority Focus Areas
Applicants must demonstrate work connecting across all three areas:
- Women’s health, safety, and resilience: Strengthening health, safety, livelihoods, financial security, leadership, decision-making, mobility, and community and workplace participation
- Community-led climate adaptation: Preparing for, responding to, and adapting to climate impacts including extreme heat, flooding, drought, storms, and changing weather patterns
- Connection to global value chains: Work with women workers and communities linked to businesses manufacturing apparel, food, technology, and other export products—including factory and farm workers, migrant workers, and informal and gig workers
This includes communities near manufacturing or agricultural workplaces and communities where women migrate for work.
Application Process
The Resilience Fund uses a two-phase application process:
Phase 1
- Opens: 18 September 2026
- Closes: 12 October 2026
- Initial application reviewed against eligibility and selection criteria
Phase 2
- Opens: End of October 2026
- Closes: Mid-November 2026
- Detailed application with additional organizational information and programmatic detail

- Phase 1 notification: End of October 2026
- Final decisions: January 2027
How to Apply
- Download and review the application form in advance (available in English, Bangla, Hindi, Tamil, Odia, Marathi, Khmer, and Vietnamese)
- Prepare all required information and draft responses before accessing the online portal
- Submit application online through the official portal—only online submissions are accepted
- Save progress using the ‘save my progress and resume later’ function if needed

Restrictions
Grant funds may not be used for:
- Lobbying, electioneering, or political campaigning
- Microcredit or microfinance activities
All use must comply with applicable laws and regulations governing foreign funding.
Special Note for Indian Applicants Without FCRA
Organizations in India without Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) clearance may still apply. If selected, the Resilience Fund team will support the organization with submitting a prior permission request to the Government of India.
Reporting and Engagement
Grantee partners complete light-touch reporting focused on mutual usefulness. Partners participate in the Learning Hub through virtual meetings, with translation support provided. One-on-one conversations help define organizational impact and learning goals.
