Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:
- Nationality of one of INTERPOL’s 196 member countries (Zimbabwe and all SADC nations qualify)
- Attained the legal age of majority in your country of nationality
- Currently enrolled in, or graduated within the past one year from, a post-secondary accredited academic institution
- Qualifying fields: Business Administration, International Relations, Information Technology, or Law (Master’s level considered an asset)
- Professional fluency in English and Arabic required
- Good command of Spanish or French considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work in multicultural teams
INTERPOL’s recruitment process is merit-based. All hiring decisions consider applicant qualifications alongside organizational needs. Women and nationals from underrepresented member countries receive particular encouragement to apply.
Internship Responsibilities
Interns provide operational support to INTERPOL’s Directorate and regional coordination activities:
- Support and coordination for National Central Bureaus (NCBs)
- Coordinate activities of Regional Bureaus and Liaison Offices
- Coordinate implementation of cooperation agreements with regional bodies
- Implement recommendations from statutory regional conferences and business plans
- Process, type, and format correspondence and documentation in required languages
- Prepare and organize international meetings and conferences, including agendas, programmes, and delegate assistance
- Support project-related activities and project reporting
- Participate in meetings and conferences, obtaining feedback and providing linguistic assistance
- Prepare statistical reports and charts concerning directorate activities
