Overview
The CyprusAid Scholarship is a comprehensive full-funding initiative launched by the University of Nicosia in partnership with CyprusAid and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus. The programme targets students from ten African countries who seek to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in Cyprus.

Eligible Countries
The scholarship is restricted to nationals of the following ten countries:
- Kenya
- Uganda
- Rwanda
- Zambia
- Botswana
- Mauritius
- Ghana
- Senegal
- Tanzania
- Madagascar
Important note for Zimbabwean and SADC applicants: Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia, and other SADC nations are not currently included in this scheme. Only the ten countries listed above are eligible. Applicants must hold a valid passport or official identification document confirming nationality from one of these eligible countries.

Degree Levels and Programmes
Undergraduate Studies
Scholarships cover 100% of tuition fees for Bachelor’s degree programmes. These apply to:
- English-taught, on-campus Bachelor’s degree programmes
- All University of Nicosia undergraduate programmes except those offered by the Medical School
Postgraduate Studies
Full tuition scholarships are available for selected Master’s programmes:
- MBA – Master in Business Administration
- MA in International Relations and Eastern Mediterranean Studies
- MA in Digital Media and Communications
One Doctoral programme is also eligible:
- PhD in International Relations
What the Scholarship Covers
The CyprusAid Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support:
- 100% of tuition fees for the approved programme
- Accommodation
- Monthly sponsorship allowance
- Medical examinations
- Visa or residence permit fees
- Insurance
- Other personal or administrative expenses

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must satisfy all of the following criteria:
- Hold nationality from one of the ten eligible countries listed above
- Meet the University of Nicosia’s admission requirements for the selected programme
- Meet the English language requirements of the selected programme
- Submit all required documents for admission and scholarship evaluation

Application Process
Follow these steps to apply:
- Prepare your documents: Gather all required academic credentials, identification, and English proficiency proof.

- Complete admission requirements: Your application will be assessed according to the University’s standard admission requirements and the specific terms of the scholarship scheme.
- Await evaluation: Final decisions regarding admission and scholarship awards follow the relevant evaluation process.
- Receive notification: Applicants will be notified of the outcome electronically.
Application Deadline
Spring 2027 intake: Applications must be submitted by 6 November 2026.
There is no published deadline for Autumn 2027 or subsequent intakes. Applicants should contact the International Admissions Office for information about future application cycles.
