Program Overview
The DFC Graduate Trainee Program is a structured career development initiative designed to identify, train, and equip young professionals with the skills required for success in real estate practice. Operated by DIYA, Fatimilehin & Co., a Nigerian real estate services firm, the program combines classroom instruction with hands-on experience through job rotations across key business functions.
The program serves two purposes: nurturing the next generation of real estate professionals and building a pipeline of qualified talent for the firm. Trainees who complete the full program are retained in full-time positions with competitive benefits packages.

Program Structure and Timeline
The DFC Graduate Trainee Program operates in two distinct phases:
- Phase 1 – Foundation Training (6 weeks): Intensive training designed to equip trainees with essential business skills for today’s professional environment.
- Phase 2 – Immersion Program (6 months): Combines continued classroom training with hands-on rotations across business areas and special project assignments. Only trainees who progress to and complete this phase are offered full-time positions.
During the immersion period, participants rotate through key business areas, gaining exposure to different functions within the firm. This structure ensures trainees develop both technical competencies and practical experience.

Important Considerations for SADC Applicants
For applicants from Zimbabwe and other SADC countries considering this opportunity, note that this program is based in Nigeria and requires compliance with Nigerian employment regulations. International applicants should verify:
- Work authorization requirements for non-Nigerian citizens
- Recognition of their university degree by Nigerian accreditation standards
- NYSC completion is specific to Nigerian graduates; international equivalents may need clarification
Contact the program administrators directly to confirm eligibility for non-Nigerian applicants before applying.
Selection and Retention
The program uses a two-level selection process. Entry into the initial 6-week training does not guarantee progression to the 6-month immersion program or subsequent full-time employment. Retention decisions are based on performance during both training phases. Trainees must successfully complete the full 6-month immersion to be considered for permanent positions.
