Overview
The European Youth Assembly 2027 (EYA 2027) is an international youth leadership and policy forum taking place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from March 17–20, 2027. Organized by the Center for International Policy and Sustainability (CIPS), a Canada-based civil society organization, the Assembly convenes young leaders, innovators, advocates, and changemakers from around the world for dialogue, networking, learning, and policy engagement.
EYA 2027 offers 100 competitive funded and free participation opportunities alongside 150 direct-access seats, making global youth participation accessible across economic backgrounds. The program emphasizes that young people should not simply inherit the future—they should actively shape it.

Funding Categories
Applicants choose from three competitive funded tiers or two direct-access options. One application form covers all three funded categories.
Fully Funded — 30 Seats
Selected delegates receive comprehensive support:

Partially Funded — 20 Seats
Includes all Fully Funded benefits except international airfare support. Ideal for regional European applicants or those with independent travel funding.
Free Assembly Pass — 50 Seats
Provides full program access without accommodation or airfare support. Suitable for motivated participants based in or near the Netherlands who can self-fund travel and lodging.
Direct Access (Non-Competitive)
For applicants who wish to secure participation without competitive selection:
- Assembly Pass Without Accommodation: $499 USD — 75 seats
- Assembly Pass With Accommodation: $799 USD — 75 seats
Both include confirmed participation, full session access, certificate, visa invitation, meals during conference hours, and all program benefits except airfare.
Eligibility
EYA 2027 welcomes a multidisciplinary, globally diverse cohort. Requirements include:
- Age: 17–47 years
- Nationality: Open to all countries; African and SADC applicants explicitly welcome
- Background: No specific academic or professional requirements
- Interests: Leadership, policy, sustainability, innovation, human rights, entrepreneurship, technology, education, or community development
Typical participants include students and graduates, young professionals and entrepreneurs, researchers and academics, NGO and civil society representatives, youth and community leaders, educators, policy enthusiasts, technology and media professionals, and social entrepreneurs.
Selection Process
Funded seats are awarded through competitive, rubric-based evaluation assessing:
- Application Quality: Clarity, substance, and thoughtfulness of responses
- Motivation & Potential: Genuine motivation, leadership potential, willingness to learn and engage
- Leadership & Impact: Community involvement, demonstrated achievements, initiative, and social impact potential
- Relevance & Contribution: Alignment of experience and aspirations with Assembly themes
- Diversity & Representation: Geographic, professional, academic, and cultural diversity
- Overall Profile: Complete strength rather than single-criterion assessment
The USD 17.99 application fee enables entry into the competitive evaluation process but does not guarantee selection.
Application Process
- Complete the single online application form (covers all three funded categories)
- Pay the USD 17.99 application fee for funded seat consideration
- Submit required personal and motivational information
- Await evaluation results
- Selected Fully or Partially Funded delegates receive pre-Assembly support including visa assistance
- Direct Access applicants register and pay on a first-come, first-served basis
