How We Verify Scholarships
Every scholarship on Scholarships.co.zw links to the organisation that actually runs it. This page explains how a listing gets here, what we check before it is published, and what to do if something is wrong.
Where listings come from
We follow scholarship listing sites and announcements that cover awards open to Zimbabwean and other African students. A listing on another website is only a lead. We never publish from it directly.
What we check before publishing
- The provider’s own page. We find the official page run by the university, foundation, government or organisation offering the award. If we cannot find one, or it is a social media post, a form service or a general search page, the listing is not published.
- The deadline. The deadline is taken only from the provider’s page and checked against today’s date. Awards with no deadline on the provider’s page, or whose deadline has already passed, are not published.
- The details. Eligibility, funding, level of study and how to apply are written from the provider’s page, not from the listing site.
- Duplicates. The same award is often announced on several websites. We publish it once and send any duplicate address to the single page.
How you apply
Every scholarship page has an Apply on the official site button that takes you to the provider. You always apply directly with them. Scholarships.co.zw does not take applications, charge fees or act as an agent. Genuine scholarships do not ask you to pay to apply. If anyone asks you for money in the name of a scholarship listed here, do not pay, and tell us.
How our pages are written
Our scholarship guides are written with the help of AI tools, working from the provider’s official page, and checked by the process above before they are published. Deadlines and official links are never left to an AI tool: they are copied from the provider’s page and checked automatically.
When details change
Providers sometimes change deadlines or close awards early. The provider’s page is always the final word. If a listing here is out of date or incorrect, email info@scholarships.co.zw with the page link, and we will correct or remove it.
